Sara Stuart, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker 

Sara Stuart is an LCSW that works with adolescents between the ages of 12-18 as well as adults. She has experience working with individuals that struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma-based disorders, mood disorders, family dysfunction, suicidality, self-injury, and other mental health issues. Sara utilizes a broad range of treatment modalities including CBT, DBT, solutions-focused, motivational interviewing, and interpersonal neurobiology to help clients explore and understand their emotions, experiences, and interactions with the world.  Training/Experience Background: Sara received her B.S in Criminal Justice from Texas State University, followed by an M.A. in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in NYC. After returning to Texas, Sara took time to work in the mental health field to gain experience. She has worked in various settings that include a women's shelter for victims of domestic violence/sexual assault, a PHP/IOP program for adolescents, and a substance use clinic. Sara then pursued her LMSW from the University of Houston. Sara hopes to eventually open up her own practice that specializes in supporting adolescents and families who are recovering from trauma.  Fun Facts: Sara has 2 dogs and a ferret, plays the piano, and prefers movie nights with lots of snacks!
