Kim Libby, M.Ed., LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Community Relations Director
When providing therapy, I believe in a client-centered approach focusing on building self esteem, resiliency, distress tolerance, and brain-body integration. The modalities that I most commonly use are Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, and Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB).
Finding the right therapist for you or a loved one can be tough. I'm here to provide a safe, non-judgmental space to help others improve their relationships with themselves and the world around them. I think it's important to spend time getting to know my clients and making our time together more of a conversation as opposed to an interrogative session.
I think therapy is about helping an individual understand the actions and choices they have so they can make changes that are right for them. I think everyone can benefit from therapy, regardless of their current situation or troubles. I became inspired to be a therapist by the positive effect it's had on my own life. We could all use an outside and unbiased perspective on our lives in order to see what's really in front of us and help us lead the lives we want.
