Sarah Ann Banis, LCSW-S

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Qualified Mental Health
Professional. Starting therapy can be scary and hard, but my hope is to
empower my clients to learn the skills to cope and navigate their own ship.
While I have the ability to work competently with people of all ages, my
specialties are pediatrics, adolescents, and young adults, I enjoy aiding my
clients through healing so they can continue to live a productive life.
I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities to include: Dialectical Behavioral
Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and
trauma-informed care. I believe children learn from play, so incorporating
play into my role as a therapist is something I strive to do. I offer a
client-centered approach to therapy, always meeting each client where they
are at.
I graduated in 2016 from The University of Texas at Arlington with a Master
of Social Work Degree with a concentration in Mental Health and
Substance Use. My background includes non-profit work, grant writing,
community mental Health, crisis stabilization, school social work, working
with military families, and private practice.
