Alexa was born and raised in Northwest Arkansas. She earned her Bachelor of Science from Southwestern Assemblies of God University, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Addictions Counseling in Waxahachie, Texas. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She is bilingual, fluent in Spanish and English. Alexa’s primary area of training is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She will walk with clients through their maladaptive behaviors, thoughts, and emotions. She strives to help clients engage in healthy coping mechanisms, identify and challenge maladaptive behaviors, and thoughts. Her hope is to help clients reach a space of peace within themselves, growth, and self-development in any areas they might need. Additionally, she will include mindfulness practices to help clients stay grounded and raise awareness, helping them to better cope with day-to-day stress. Her passion for mental health has guided her to where she is now. Thus, she aims to provide a safe space for clients through empathy, encouragement, and support. She has an interest in working with adults and has clinical interests in depression, anxiety, stress, and trauma.
